Dear reader,
I am listening to a Buddhist mantra :D, that's right you beautiful perplexed person, you. If you don't know what it is, it's my latest jam: Om Mani Padme Hum. I love it because it makes me feel amazing and that my friend, is what music should always do for you.Unless of course you want to listen to "Kelis' Bossy" and feel sexy, it's entirely up to you :D.
Today's topic is all about the light and the dark in all of us and the understanding of some of the general paradigms of good and evil, what the benefits are of certain walks of life, and the curses of others.
One of the most beautiful realizations that you can make as a person is your perfection and imperfection. The realization that all of us are at our best, perfect creatures capable of magnificent things: fallen angels. Much of our daily stress is caused by our inability to admit our weaknesses. Often we fall and blame ourselves or those around us for doing so. What we fail to understand is that falling is the way of life, and as you are aware the opportunity how to rise again. Realize that you are a fallen angel, flying your way back home and life is the path that you take to get there. If it makes you feel sexier you can imagine wings on your back, but I'll leave that up to you :).
This point goes further to say that within us there are strengths and there are weaknesses--there is light and dark in all of us. Just as there are no shadows without the light, and no moon without the sun. The good vs evil dichotomy has been explored countless of times. You will find that we can relate to this so much because it is a metaphor for our inner self. The demons that are defeated at the end of every film are the demons of our own lives. We enjoy watching them being obliterated (sometimes literally) because we subconsciously hope that the faults and errors of our own lives will be destroyed as well. That somehow we will turn into the hero and defeat them within.
This concept was popularized in one of my favourite Michael Jackson songs: "Man in the Mirror" which in essence says that the only way we can have a better world is to be a better person. If you want miracles to happen you have to become the miracle itself.
Everyday is a winning or a losing battle for you. If we believe that we are fallen perfections, then our climb is either an ascending step, or a descending one. Thus a pyramid is a very good explanation to how life progresses. If you can imagine for me dear reader, a tall pyramid with each step getting smaller towards the top and highest pinnacle. Every step higher is a better way of life. I will draw it for you below :). You may find that you have your foot on one place in the pyramid, and another foot somewhere else. Generally I feel that your feet should always be together. This means that ultimately you have a choice between what is good and what is evil. Though always remember that it is not what we do that defines us, but who we choose to be.
LOVE
FORGIVENESS
HONESTY LOYALTY
PASSION DETERMINATION
MODESTY REGRET SYMPATHY
REVENGE SELFISHNESS REVENGE ARROGANCE
JEALOUSY LUST JEALOUSY GLUTTONY DISHONESTY GREED LUST
FEAR FEAR HATE ANXIETY DEPRESSION ANGER FEAR
If you live higher in the pyramid, "perch your wings" so to speak, you will live and feel at a higher level of consciousness and awareness. No matter who you are and what style your lifestyle takes, living under these paradigms will change everything for you. So get climbing, or stay up high. Haha, and don't push anyone else off--that thing would be the greedy thing to do, which is the second step up from the bottom ;).
Until next time :)
